The Best from Wen Yet!!, January 29, 2011

I have used Wen hair care products for over a year now and can not say anything but wonderful things about them. When you first try Wen, it feels odd not to have lather in your hair, but once you do it, you will never go back to regular shampoo again! I have forgotten to bring some along to my salon when getting my hair done and have had to settle for salon shampoo and my hair was flat and dull by comparison. My stylist can not believe the difference in my hair color, texture, volume and growth. With color treated hair, I could only go 3-4 weeks before my roots were showing. Using Wen, I broke a record this week~ 7 weeks between color!!! I definitely give all the credit to the Wen.

I have tried all the scents, and favored the Fig for the last 9 months, but when I saw the Pomegranate, I thought I would give it a try.. I am not sure what the real difference between the fruit essences are, however I can tell you, this is now my favorite~~Wen hair care is for ALL hair types,…

Freshly Washed, January 11, 2011

I have long hair, like down to my waistline. Its not super thick but tends to get oily. I can’t use cream conditioners because they give me a rash so my normal routine was shampoo and then once out of the shower a spray in leave in conditioner.

I got this item as a gift for Christmas and well, I watched the DVD and still wasn’t sure…but I figured if they state that this replaces conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner…it be cool if it worked.

I will admit, I didn’t use cold water but warm water. The time to follow the whole process may be to much for a busy person who just jumps in and jumps out. You must be able to take a little time with this. I consider it my spa time, relax and enjoy pampering yourself. I didn’t do everything perfect….warm water, didn’t use as much as maybe they would like me too but I was honestly pleased with the results.

A wheat-free Wen!, February 21, 2011

I’ve been mostly shampoo-less for nearly a year now. I started with the baking soda option most blogs talk about on the subject of going “poo-less” (without shampoo). While this seemed great for my scalp, it really made my hair like straw. I needed some sort of conditioner. When I saw WEN products on TV, I decided to give them a try. My hair certainly was softer, but some of the shampoos made my skin itch. I finally figured out this was because they include wheat protein, and I am one of those gluten-free people because my body reacts badly to wheat. When I saw Chaz Dean had created a wheat-free version, I was super stoked. This had solved my hair and skin issues with shampoo.

I have really, really thick hair, medium-fine strands but a lot of them. My stylists, who have all taken about twice the normal time to cut my hair, say I have the hair of 3 people on one head.
