Made Things Worse…, March 23, 2008

I bought this shampoo bar to help with a dandruff issue that I was dealing with (Dry Colorado winters. Go figure). I had read that tea tree oil was good for controlling dandruff, so I decided to give this product a shot. Well, the first thing I noticed was that it lathers up great. So far so good.

The next thing I noticed was that it completely stripped my hair of any and all natural oils, so much so that my hair felt “sticky” and squeaked. I thought, “Hey, this stuff must really work. It’s getting my hair nice and clean.” Boy, was I wrong.

The last thing I noticed before I quit using this shampoo altogether was that the flakes (which used to be small) were now freaking huge and increased in intensity (Picture a raging blizzard). My scalp itched so bad I ended up causing it to bleed.

I’ve been using this shampoo for over 10 years now and love it. Although I must buy it through the internet, as my local retailers no longer carry this product, it is a small hassle for such a good product. Not only does it last for months, you don’t have to use conditioners as much as it doesn’t strip out the natural oils in your hair(see their website). Also, if you buy in bulk, it’ll last almost forever in your freezer in a sealed bag. I buy 4 at a time once a year, or LESS!!! Good for people with short hair, but a little tricky for those with long hair, but try it once!

Shampoo was delivered in a timely manner and well packed. I like the way it cleans my hair and will order more when this runs out.
